Dead Rock Stars Made Me Do It

A few days ago I had things one and two ready to be disposed of. But I wasn't sure if I really wanted to make this a whole year-long endeavor, or whether I really wanted to try to keep up a blog throughout. Between the door and the car I was talking myself into just doing a little clean-up and forgetting the whole large-scale version of the adventure.

When I started the car, the radio was on. Specifically, Lynyrd Skynyrd was on, singing Simple Man. I figured that was a good sign from the universe that I should go ahead with the plan. And so I did.

Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need is in your soul
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try
All that I want for you, my son
Is to be satisfied

And be a simple kind of man
Oh be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh won't you do this for me son
If you can

True story.
