I saw Avatar in 3D. If memory serves, I was in charge of buying tickets for the group, so I also ended up with an extra pair of 3D glasses (in the package) when somebody else brought their own. Then I kept my own pair, too.
I just found these stashed in a drawer today, adding yet another entry to the "why didn't I just throw these out in the first place?" registry.
