I have previously waved good-bye to one pair of jeans, then two pairs of jeans. By pleasant coincidence, this photo features exactly four pairs of jeans. Powers of two!
By unpleasant coincidence, all four pairs of jeans began sprouting holes in various places that prevented regular wear. So I tossed out these four and replaced them with two new pairs. ("Consolidating jeans" is a phrase I will Google later to see whether this page has cracked the top ten results.)
I actually had to throw away a fifth pair of jeans after this photo was taken, which makes me wonder how I've managed to have this many pairs of jeans in my possession, considering you can only wear approximately one at a time. So you can see why I needed to start this project, and why I need to finish it, eventually.
